ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Daniela Ubiali

e-mail: daniela.ubiali@unipv.it

Daniela is the Principal Investigator of the BioSurf project

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

teodora Bavaro

e-mail: teodora.bavaro@unipv.it

Teodora supports the enzyme immobilization studies for the development of stable and recyclable biocatalysts to be used in the enzymatic synthesis of SFAEs (WP2)

ADJUNCT PROFESSOR

giorgio Marrubini

email: giorgio.marrubini@unipv.it

Analytical chemistry and application of statistical methods to experimentals optimization are the core expertise of Giorgio. Design of Experiments (DoE) will cut across WP2 and WP4 (study of the bioprocess) and WP3 (biosurfactant formulation)

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Marina S. Robescu

e-mail: marinasimona.robescu@unipv.it

Marina is mainly involved in the activities of WP2 "Enzymatic synthesis of SFAEs" and supports the analytical characterization of microbial lipids obtained in WP1. Moreover, as the Communication Manager of the BioSurf project, she has designed the BioSurf website and the project logo. She coordinates the dissemination activities of the project in collaboration with the PI

RESEARCH FELLOW

Riccardo semproli

e-mail: riccardo.semproli01@universitadipavia.it

Riccardo  is mainly involved in the activities of WP2 "Enzymatic synthesis of SFAEs". Specifically, he has set-up a fully enzymatic synthesis of SFAEs starting from lactose with the aim of upgrading it. Moreover, he has synthesized amino sugar building blocks for the in-flow preparation of novel SFAEs. He has just come back to Pavia after a 6-month stay in Prof. Selin Kara's group (Aarhus, Denmark), working on DES

Pharmaceutical Technology and Law group

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Rossella dorati

e-mail: rossella.dorati@unipv.it

Rossella supports the characterization of bio-based surfactants, in particular the evaluation of cytotoxicity of synthesized SFAEs (WP3 "Physicochemical characterization of bio-based surfactants")

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

ENRICA CHIESA

e-mail: enrica.chiesa@unipv.it

The expertise of Enrica in the biological characterization of nanosized drug delivery systems will be exploited to assess in vitro toxicity profiles of surfactant solutions and emulsion formulations (WP3 "Physicochemical characterization of bio-based surfactants")
